In this role you will lead Q’s multidisciplinary system team to develop cutting edge technology and a product, involving multiple technologies and disciplines. Working on computation architecture, mechanics, power, RF and more.
Leading the team to define, design and develop the product while working with vendors and contractors to bring the design from integration to mass production.
The system manager will apply the right working and design methodologies and provide support and guidance to the team enabling them to perform at their best
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of system engineers designing a multi-disciplinary product from definition till integration, build and delivery
- Provide guidance to system engineers in system design and definition till integration; supporting all system needs, starting from system requirements and architecture via integration with all relevant teams and till future support of manufacturing.
- Guide and hands on designing and building experimental setups and methods for measuring system performance. Analyzing, interpreting, and reporting results to support system integration.
- Set the method and oversee the compiling of technical docs including architecture, spec, test plans etc. of all system components.
- Lead and guide the team to choosing components or design such components that are not off-the-shelf
- Understand the program integration points, interfaces between blocks and teams and monitor the timeline of R&D key tasks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and leaders across the company
Qualifications:
- B.Sc in EE/ Physics – Mandatory M.Sc in EE or System Engineer – An advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in leading a System Engineering team developing multi-disciplinary products.
- At least 5 years of experience as a system architect
- Proven experience in delivering consumer electronics devices, with an advantage to wearable devices
- Proven experience defining system computation requirements or custom silicon
- Hands on experience with optical systems – An advantage
- Experience with simulation tools, Python, P-Spice or MATLAB – must
- Working knowledge with imaging systems design (CMOS, optical params, …) – An advantage
- Deploying multi-disciplinary products to mass production – An advantage
