DevOps Team Lead

Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Team Leader to join and lead our IT DevOps team. This role combines technical leadership and hands-on development, ensuring that our CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, IT infrastructure, and IT workflows meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will manage a team of DevOps engineers while also actively contributing to architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring

• Prioritize and manage tasks effectively, ensuring project deadlines are met

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps and IT automation best practices

• Drive process improvements and adopt new tools/technologies to enhance DevOps and IT efficiency

• Ensure the quality and maintainability of automation scripts, configurations, and infrastructure code

• Act as the go-to expert for complex DevOps and IT automation challenges

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and high-quality software delivery

• Design and implement automation solutions for software delivery, infrastructure management, and IT workflows

• Automate IT processes, including user provisioning, system monitoring, incident response, and cloud resource management

• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to manage and improve infrastructure

• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools

• Monitor and improve system performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack

• Implement and enforce security best practices within CI/CD and cloud environments

• Collaborate with R&D and IT teams to improve DevOps and IT automation workflow

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD

• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes & Docker for container orchestration

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architectures

• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation

• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)

• Experience automating IT processes such as user lifecycle management, IT asset management, and security compliance

• Strong knowledge of networking, security best practices, and system reliability

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset
