Job Description:
We are looking for an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to own the full mechanical product lifecycle - from concept and detailed design to validation, reliability qualification, and mass-production readiness.
This role blends mechanical excellence with reliability engineering and hands-on product ownership, ensuring real products are designed to work, survive, and scale in the real world.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical product design of consumer devices, including enclosures, mechanisms, and mechanical architecture.
- Own mechanical reliability and QA, defining test plans, validation strategy, and design robustness targets.
- Drive reliability-aware design and support analysis, testing, and mitigation of dynamic and structural risks
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to seamlessly integrate PCBs into the mechanical design. Ensure optimal placement, alignment, and thermal management for efficient device functionality.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to design plastic components suitable for mass production.
- Build prototypes, test, analyze failures, and translate results into design improvements.
- Act as a cross-team owner of product maturity, reliability, and mechanical quality.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of experience owning mechanical product development for physical products
- Strong hands-on experience in mechanical design, prototyping, and reliability validation
- Deep knowledge of plastic injection molding design and manufacturing constraints
- Experience with PCB-mechanical integration in high-density consumer electronics
- Proficient in design for reliability, durability, and manufacturability
- Skilled in structured problem-solving and failure analysis
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM
- Self-driven, product-focused, and comfortable in fast-moving multidisciplinary environments
- Strong communication and ownership mindset, with ability to influence cross-functional teams
